Measurement outcomes that do not occur and their role in entanglement transformations

The characterization of transformations among entangled pure states via local operations assisted by classical communication (LOCC) is a crucial problem in quantum information theory for both theoretical and practical reasons. As LOCC has highly intricate structure, sometimes the larger set separable (SEP) maps considered, which mathematically much simpler description. In literature, mainly SEP consisting invertible Kraus operators have been taken into account. this paper we show that consideration those not sufficient when deciding whether state can be mapped to another general transformations. This done providing explicit examples 3- 5- qubits states, are feasible containing singular operators, however, possible solely regular operators. key point allows construct introduce projective measurements occur with probability zero on input state. fact it consider composed out even case transformations, also affects results states. However, non-invertible do help under finitely many rounds communication, i.e. necessary condition still convertibility finite-round LOCC. Moreover, (including infinitely communication) presented M. Hebenstreit, C. Spee, B. Kraus, Phys. Rev. A 93, 012339 (2016) affected.
